Welcome to the parish of St. Anthony of Padua in Mossley Hill, Liverpool.

We are a Franciscan parish served by the Friars Minor Conventual, Catholic men dedicated to living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi.

We focus on the Gospel life, embraced by Francis, our Seraphic Father and founder. His light has been guiding us for eight centuries.

Please explore our website to get an idea of life in our parish, and use the "Contact us" button to reach out to us if you would like any more information.

****Latest News****

Dear parishioners and friends of St. Anthony of Padua parish,

I have some very important news I need to share with you. Due to unforeseen circumstances of an administrative nature, we have no choice but to temporarily close, with immediate effect, the entire site (Church, Church Hall and Friary).

ALL on-site parish Masses, sacraments, and Hall activities are cancelled effective immediately.  I know this will be difficult for you to hear, but the law requires that we take these steps until the issues are resolved; please be assured that all is being done to resolve these matters as soon as possible.

During the closure, Sunday Masses will take place in St. Anthony of Padua Primary School, 4, Sands Road, L18 8BD. The Sunday Mass times will be 10.00am and 12.00 Midday. Please be aware that car parking at the school and surrounding roads is very limited, so please plan accordingly. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience or disruption that this situation causes.

Please keep myself and the friars in your prayers; I will let you know when we are able to resume

normal operations. As a parish, we journey together and we always keep one another in prayer.

Yours in Christ and Our Lady

Fr. Gerard Mary Toman OFM Conv.

Parish Priest
